Students can study Computer and Information Science from Years 9 to 13.
In Year 9 all students can opt to study Computer and Information Science in Terms 1, 2 or 3.
In Term 4 students then return to the option they wish to study a little further, so those who have enjoyed their term in CIS can return in Term 4.

CISI (Information Management)
This course follows the NCEA IM syllabus focussing on MS applications with 24 Achievement Standard credits offered.
A course open to all students regardless of prior IT experience.
CISH (Computer Systems and Programming)
This couse focuses on computer systems, managing and protecting data, computer hardware and programming.
Prior experience at Year 9 or 10 is expected.
CISA (Applications)
MS Applications, Integrated data, website design.
Prior experience at Year 10 or 11 is expected.
CISH (Hardware and Programming)
A CISCO ITE1 Level 2 Programming course.
Prior programming experience is desireable.
CISM (Multimedia)
Animation using Flash, digital image manipulation, creating and editing audio files, movie making and editing, web page design using XHTML and CSS.
CISA (Applications)
Advanced word processing, spreadsheets and design plus introduction to relational databases.
CISN (Hardware and Networking)
CISCO ITE1 and CISCO CCNA Discovery

Level 3 programming course.
CISS (Application Skills)
A beginners course open to all senior students who have no prior experience with computers. This course aims to make students confident users of MS office software as well as introduce them to Photostory, Moviemaker and Webpages.
