Jubilee 2010

Aranui High School 2010 Jubilee

Kia ora koutou former students and staff of Aranui!

Our school Golden Jubilee celebration was a wonderful opportunity for old friends to meet and to make new ones. Likewise it was a chance for former staff to visit and re-connect with their collegues! Having three of our four former living Principals attend was also a highlight, with each taking a turn to address the Saturday morning formal opening.

While things never quite go to plan, we have been so pleased with the response that we have received from many of you to the events which we planned for Labour Weekend.  We now have the 75th Jubilee of the school to look forward to, although I am aware that a number of foundation students are very keen to plan a 60th Jubilee celebration as well!

We have been waiting for some time for the photographs to become available for purchase via www.imagesportnz.com. In the interim, there are a few available to view on this website, as well as a large number of photos taken by Joy van Lier, who very kindly took a lot of photos at all the Jubilee events.
